INFORMATION

The shape of the building is very conditioned by the shape of the plot, which is a triangle with very acute angles.
It consists of three prisms, two at the ends with great volume and solidity. A central one, lighter, that connects them.
Articulating the whole ensemble is a large double-height access patio-porch that articulates the entire complex.
The central patio is a typical architectural resource of the island's buildings. It is a solution that allows for the climate we have. It is an open patio, with covered side corridors where all the dependencies open. The patio is covered by a large pergola, and open to the street so that there is no obstacle with the sidewalk. This opening is controlled by a large guillotine gate that allows it to be opened and closed entirely as needed.
The auditorium is rectangular in shape and double height. This shape was chosen because it has the most acoustic possibilities for the intended use.
The building's exterior finishes will be plastered and painted white. The pergola and visor will be concrete. Aluminum and glass joinery. The gate and railings will be steel. The patio pavement will be basalt cobblestone, the rest of the pavement will be compact porcelain tile.
The building has all false ceilings with plaster, except for the cabin classrooms and halls where the false ceiling is acoustic type, as is the wall covering.
In summary, it is a simple and robust building. Of rationalist cut. With a structure and traditional finishes of the island.
